A proposed construction project on SE 2nd Ave. in Aledo would include improvements to the street, sidewalks, and storm sewer system in the area, and city officials are looking for public input on that work as they're gearing up for it.
Officials are hosting an informational meeting to share additional details on the project and collect thoughts from community members. The meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Mercer County High School.
"We are excited to share the details of the SE 2nd Ave. construction project with the community and hear feedback from our residents. This project is an important investment in our city's infrastructure, and know that it will allow us to provide quality service for years to come," Justin Blaser, Aledo's director of public works and utilities, said.
Construction is expected to begin sometime in spring 2024.
