Your guide to the 50th annual Quad-City Times Bix 7

Racers will take off for the seven-mile run bright and early at 8 a.m. on Saturday.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — One of the Quad Cities' most popular events is back for a very special anniversary.

On Saturday, July 27, runners will take off for the 50th annual Quad-City Times Bix 7. Racers will start their seven-mile runs at 8 a.m. in downtown Davenport. The shortened Quick Bix will also take off at the same time.

You can take a look at the full routes for the Quick Bix and Bix 7 here.

Once athletes cross the finish line, the post-race party will be held in the Quad-City Times parking lot until 11 a.m., and awards will be given out on the main stage at 10 a.m.

Of course, all the action is going to draw some pretty big crowds, and getting downtown may be a bit more difficult than usual due to road closures around the course. You can review the closures to help you plan your path to the festivities using the map below.

Multiple roads in the downtown area will be closed at different times as officials prepare for the annual race.

Parking will be available in three city parking ramps for $2 all day on Saturday and Sunday. Here's where you can find them:

  • River Center Ramp - enter east of Brady Street on Second Street and Third Street
  • 101 Main Street Ramp - located north of River Drive
  • 202 Harrison Street Ramp - Enter on Harrison Street or on Ripley Street between Second Street and Third Street
