LE CLAIRE, Iowa — Three juveniles were arrested in connection to a vehicle theft in LeClaire.
According to LeClaire police, officers were notified about suspects searching through cars around Pebble Creek on Monday, Nov. 18 around 2 a.m. An officer who responded to the report saw the suspect vehicle leaving the area. Police said the officer attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle attempted to flee towards Davenport. The car was eventually stopped near Second Street and Howell Street in Davenport after being disabled with stop strips.
Police said six suspects fled on foot, and police were able to arrest three of them. Law enforcement officials determined that the car the suspects were riding in had been stolen from Moline. The suspects were all charged with first-degree theft and interference with official acts.
Police said additional charges are pending.
