DAVENPORT, Iowa — The 2024 Quad Cities Heart Ball is just days away.
The annual Heart Ball is a celebration of the American Heart Association's Heart of Quad Cities, an initiative aimed at investing in and improving the lives of Quad Cities area residents by promoting heart health. This year's campaign focuses on the association's work to build a Nation of Lifesavers by encouraging CPR training.
“Together, we must continue to strive to do whatever we can to ensure more neighbors have the chance to live a full and healthy life,” said Heart Ball Co-Chair Lori Frederick. “I have a personal connection to this cause due to the fact that both my father and father-in-law have been affected by heart disease. It’s my responsibility to get the word out and try to educate people on the many ways to prevent this terrible disease.”
News 8 Chief Meteorologist James Zahara is emceeing the event.
This year's event takes place on Saturday, Apr. 6 from 5:30-9 p.m. at the St. Ambrose Rogalski Center in Davenport. Tickets can be purchased here. Registration closes on Tuesday, Apr. 2.
