DAVENPORT, Iowa — The 2024 Blues Festival has been canceled, according to organizers with the Mississippi Valley Blues Society.
According to a press release, the board made the decision to cancel the event while managing the available funding for the remainder of the year. Instead, organizers said the Blues Society will hold multiple smaller events around the Quad Cities.
The Blues Festival was also canceled in 2022 and 2023 due to rainy weather conditions. However, organizers said they intend to spend the rest of the year securing the funding to revive the musical event in 2025.
