BURLINGTON, Iowa — Officials in Iowa are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another wounded in Burlington over the weekend.
According to a news release, Burlington police responded to the 500 block of S 7th Street at 10:19 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24 for a reported shooting.
First responders found two victims with gunshot wounds. One victim was transported to a regional hospital to be treated for their injuries.
A second victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made at this time.
The Burlington Police Department is being assisted by the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
