2 people injured in Scott County crash

SCOTT COUNTY, Iowa — Two people were injured after a rollover crash in Scott County on Monday.

According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, a 2021 GMC Yukon was traveling westbound on I-74 just before midnight on Monday, Sept. 16. Near the two-mile marker, the vehicle left the roadway and hit an embankment, causing the vehicle to roll onto its side. Investigators are still working to determine why the vehicle exited the road.

Two people who were traveling in the vehicle during the crash were hospitalized; one wasn't wearing a seatbelt, according to investigators. No further information on their condition was released.

The victims' names haven't been released while family members are being notified of the crash.
