2 killed in Dubuque County crash on Thanksgiving Day

DUBUQUE COUNTY, Iowa — Two people are dead and another is injured following a crash in Dubuque County on Thanksgiving Day.

According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, a 2023 Subaru was driving westbound on Skyline Road shortly after 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28. Investigators believe the Subaru failed to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way at the intersection with U.S. Highway 151. A 2021 Peterbilt semi truck was driving northbound on 151 and struck the Subaru, which crashed into the ditch on the east side.

The Subaru's driver, identified as 64-year-old Raymond Seeley, was declared dead at the scene of the crash. The passenger, identified as 62-year-old Deana Seeley, was hospitalized but eventually died. Both victims were from Sterling, IL. The driver of the semi truck was also injured.

The identities of the drivers involved in this crash have not been released.
