DAVENPORT, Iowa — A teenager is in custody after police allege they made threats against a pair of schools in Davenport.
According to Davenport police, school resource officers were notified of potential violent threats aimed at Davenport Central High School and McKinley Elementary School shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28. A 16-year-old was later arrested and charged with making threats of terrorism.
Police do not believe there was ever any immediate threat to anyone at the schools, and students were dismissed at a normal time.
