ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — One person was injured in a reported stabbing on Wednesday afternoon, according to Rock Island Police Chief Timothy McCloud.
Officers believe that 19-year-old Nicholas Brown got into an argument with a 54-year-old man on the 1700 block of 42nd Street around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31. Brown then allegedly stabbed the victim, causing non-life-threatening injuries to the abdomen.
The victim was hospitalized, and Brown has been charged with aggravated battery.
