As the long-time reality show America’s Next Top Model comes around for a 21st cycle, an Iowa man will join the competition.

Waverly, Iowa-native, 24-year-old Ben Schreen has secured a spot on the show that will have its season premiere on the CW network Monday, August 18, according to a report by the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier.

The competing models will vie for a $100,000 cash prize from GUESS and a modeling contract with Next Model Management.

Schreen, standing 6-foot, 3-inches tall, was a member of the Waverly-Shell Rock boys basketball team that earned its first state championship since the 1940s, reported the Courier. He moved on to the University of Northern Iowa and got his Bachelor’s degree in communications.

After college, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in the entertainment industry, which then lead to his successful audition for the show.

This season of the show will be the second to include men and women.
