Five Quad Cities-area businesses and three high school seniors will receive the Better Business Bureau Integrity Awards.
The honorees are selected by an independent panel of community leaders based on eligibility criteria established by the BBB.
The student honorees will each receive a $2,500 scholarship. They are Daphne Cornish of Davenport Central High School, Sydney Kilcoin of Rockridge High School in Taylor Ridge, Illinois and Jacob Kilburg of Northeast High School in Goose Lake, Iowa.
Businesses receiving the 2013 Quad Cities Better Business Bureau Integrity Awards are Center for Active Seniors in Davenport, Guardian Family Care in Bettendorf, IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union in Moline, Premier Bath and Kitchen Resurfacing in Eldridge and Valley Construction Company in Rock island.
“Our mission is to celebrate marketplace role models who uphold trust, reliability and ethics. These five companies are excellent role models because integrity is at their foundation,” said BBB Quad Cities Director Patt Englander.”
The awards will be presented at a ceremony which begins at 11:45 a.m. on April 25, 2013 at Jumer’s Casino and Hotel in Rock Island. Tickets to the event are available to the public.
