A middle school project had students launching catapults for education.
On Friday, September 20, 2013, Colona Middle School held its 2nd annual catapult launch.
Seventh grade students Joey Dryoel and Ashley Preston said the project combines science and history to help them learn about Medieval times. They teamed up to make a catapult that launches using a spaghetti scooper.
Each team got three attempts to launch and the farthest launch was recorded.
Visitors were able to sit along the bleachers to watch the event.
