DAVENPORT, Iowa — A woman has been arrested in connection with a September car crash that left one man dead and two children injured.
Police say Jasmin Armaria Matthews, age 26, was driving a car that crossed the centerline of River Drive in Davenport back on September 7, hitting a pickup head-on. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson from the Davenport Police Department identified the passenger as Tyrice Davis. He was in the backseat of the car Matthews was driving.
The pickup driver was not hurt; Matthews sustained minor injuries.
Online jail records show Matthews was booked into the Scott County Jail on Monday, June 21. Among other charges, she faces three felony charges: two counts of child endangerment resulting in serious injury and one count of homicide by vehicle.
She was held on $50,000 bond.
