Two Rock Island men have been arrested in connection to recent stick-ups at the 11th Street Mart in Rock Island.

LaVontrell Latae Lewis and Michael Andrew Phillips, both of 1830 11th Street have been charged each with one count of armed robbery and one count of aggravated robbery.

According to the Dispatch-Argus, Mr. Phillips is accused of conspiring with an unknown accomplice to rob the gas station on October 9th and Mr. Lewis is charged in connection with a Sept. 25 incident at the gas station, where two individuals allegedly threatened the store clerk with a gun and made off with cash and cigarettes.

No one was reported injured in either case.

Rock Island Police are continuing their investigation and future arrests are pending.
