DAVENPORT, Iowa — One man was arrested after allegedly hitting a teenager with his car during an altercation Monday, according to the Davenport Police Department.
At about 4:09 p.m., officers responded to Adams Elementary School after receiving a report of a child being struck by a vehicle.
Investigators found that the incident began with an altercation that had broken out between a group of juveniles. A man involved with the disturbance, later identified as 29-year-old Levi Vincent-Freund, drove the wrong way over the curb into the Adams Elementary lawn and struck a 14-year-old boy with his car.
The 14-year-old and another teen involved in the incident were sent to the hospital with minor injuries.
VIncent-Freund was charged with assault with a weapon.
The incident remains under investigation.
