STERLING, Illinois — Search efforts were successful in finding Jesse A. Williams, 22, of Rock Falls who was wanted following a shooting in the early hours of Saturday, April 2.
Around 3:15 a.m., police responded to a call at 16th Avenue and E. 19th Street and found a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the arm. Several homes were also struck by bullets. The man was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released.
Williams was charged with armed violence.
Deputies with the Whiteside County Sheriff's Office, officers with the Sterling and Rock Falls Police Departments, and the Illinois State Police assisted with the arrest.
