MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) — Authorities are offering a $250 reward for the return of two guns stolen from a Mason City police vehicle late last month.
Crime Stoppers of North Central Iowa announced the reward Friday, the Globe Gazette reports. The department seeks the return of a semi-automatic M16 rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun.
The guns were discovered missing on Monday. Police say ammunition also was stolen.
Fingerprint evidence from the police car has been sent to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation Crime Lab in Ankeny.
