One of two men, wanted in connection with a string of burglaries in Knox County, was captured after police got a tip about his location.
Dustin Johnson, 31, and 24-year-old Johnathan Rigg were the subject of felony arrest warrants stemming from an ongoing burglary investigation in Galesburg and Knox County, Illinois.
Police issued a public appeal October 17, 2014, asking for help locating Johnson and Riggs. Both men were considered to be possibly armed and dangerous, police said.
Johnson was arrested at about 8 a.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014, in the 1100 block of Olive Street in Galesburg, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. He was held in the Knox County Jail in lieu of $750,000 bond.
Police, deputies and the U.S. Marshals Service were continuing to work together to try to find Johnathan Rigg. Anyone with information about Rigg was asked to call 911, Knox County Sheriff at (309) 343-9151 or Galesburg Area Crime Stoppers at (309) 344-0044.
