The names of two teenagers killed in a Moline double homicide have been released.

Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson has identified the victims in the double homicide as 17-year-old Giovanni Flores and 19-year-old Zachary Meincke, both of Moline.

Autopsies were conducted on both victims Monday. The coroner found Flores had died from a gunshot wound to the head, while Meincke died from gunshot wounds to the head and chest.

Police discovered the victims around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 5, when authorities were called to a residence in the 1800 block of 31st Street, off Avenue of the Cities, for an "unknown problem at the residence." Upon entry, officials say they found the victims deceased in the basement.

Police say they responded to the same residence earlier in the morning around 2:30 a.m. after receiving a noise complaint for a large house party. Police believe the earlier call was related to the homicide.
