A man was suspected of stabbing someone after chasing a female with his truck.
Lt. Jeff Klein with the Burlington Police Department said 46-year-old Elmer Lee Donaldson was involved in a confrontation with a female Sunday, August 10, 2014 and reportedly displayed a handgun before getting into a truck and chasing her.
Klein said later, that Donaldson came back with a knife and stabbed the female’s boyfriend.
Donaldson contacted police and arrived at the police station around 7 p.m., Klein said. Donaldson was arrested and taken to the Des Moines County Jail.
Donaldson faces charges of willful injury and going armed with intent.
