KEOKUK, Iowa (AP) — A Keokuk chiropractor who was acquitted of a criminal assault charge has lost his state license following allegations by seven women that he inappropriately touched them in his office.

Andrew Kearse was charged after allegations by a female patient that he’d touched her in a sexual manner during treatment. After that charge was filed at least six other women came forward, making similar allegations.

Kearse was found not guilty in February, but the Iowa Board of Chiropractic continued investigating. Documents released Thursday say the board decided July 13 to revoke Kearse’s license for at least 10 years.

Kearse’s Keokuk office number isn’t in service. His lawyer didn’t immediately return a call Friday from The Associated Press.
