EAST MOLINE, Ill. — A report a disturbance between two people in separate cars ended with a crash on Avenue of the Cities and multiple people in custody, according to the Moline Police Department.
Chief Darren Gault said the incident started with a domestic disturbance near 13th Street and 12th Avenue between a male and female who were in separate vehicles. The female reported to police that a black Dodge had been chasing her and a gun was fired at her.
When police arrived on scene, they tried to pull over the Dodge, "but it fled," said Chief Gault. The Dodge went on toward East Moline where it crashed at 7th Street and Avenue of the Cities.
Three people from inside the Dodge ran off, said Gault, but were all captured by police.
"There are multiple people in custody," said Chief Gault. On Thursday, March 11, charges were filed by the Rock Island County State's Attorney.
All three were held in the Rock Island County Jail and made their first appearances on Thursday, court records show.
