We are still waiting on word from police as to what happened along a wide stretch of Airport Road Monday night, Oct. 4, where a heavy police presence was seen.
At about 7:45 p.m. Monday, the Blackhawk Fire Protection District was called to block off Airport Road between East 8th to East 3rd streets. Witnesses said a lot of other agencies were on scene, though only an ambulance remained when News 8 crews got there.
Paramedics were attending to one man at the time, according to witnesses. The scene started to clear around 9:30 p.m.
