Man arrested in connection to fatal Galesburg shooting on June 7

19-year-old Chase Houlden Jr. has been charged with murder in connection to a June 7 shooting that killed 18-year-old Cam'ron Glass.

GALESBURG, Ill. — A Knox County man has been arrested in connection to a fatal June 7 shooting in Galesburg

According to Galesburg police, 19-year-old Chase Houlden Jr. of Galesburg was arrested on Tuesday, June 18, in connection to the fatal shooting that killed 18-year-old Cam'ron Glass. An arrest warrant for murder had previously been issued for Houlden on Monday, June 10.

The shooting occurred around 11 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, in the 900 block of E. South Street. Responding officials found Glass with an apparent gunshot wound inside a residence. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Houlden was also injured during the shooting and was hospitalized before being taken into custody. Houlden remains in custody at the Knox County Jail.
