KNOXVILLE, Ill. — Two men were arrested on Tuesday, April 16, after Knox County deputies responded to a fight in progress involving two individuals using a bat and a golf club.
Upon arrival, authorities learned that some individuals had left the scene in a vehicle. It's unknown how many people were involved in the altercation.
First responders found a man with visible trauma to his face and a woman with a deep cut on her shin.
The female victim was treated on the scene by first responders. The male victim was transported to a local hospital to be evaluated.
Deputies located the suspect's vehicle with two men inside. Authorities said the driver had a visible cut on his face and informed them that he had been involved in a physical altercation.
Cade Nuss, 22, and James Nuss, 24, were each arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery, and mob action.
