Dixon, Illinois woman accused of selling heroin to confidential informant

A Dixon, Illinois woman was arrested for selling heroin after detectives launched an investigation on drug sales in the city.

A Dixon, Illinois woman was accused of selling heroin after detectives launched an investigation on drug sales in the city.

Through a confidential informant, detectives found out that heroin was being sold on the southeast side of Dixon, according to a statement from the Dixon Police Department.  Around 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2016, the confidential informant bought heroin from 29-year-old Bethany Dixon.

After allegedly selling the heroin, detectives pulled Dixon over in the car she was in and arrested her on the spot, police said.

Investigators searched a home in the southeast side of Dixon after getting a search warrant with the help of information from a witness and their confidential informant. At the home, police found more than a gram of heroin and “numerous items of drug paraphernalia.”

Dixon was charged with unlawful delivery of heroin and unlawful possession of heroin.  More charges were pending based on evidence from the search.
