DAVENPORT, Iowa — A Davenport woman accused of trying to set fire to the inside of a Davenport police car over the weekend remained in custody Monday.

Police say Marissa Padavich, 28, was identified in videos at several burglary scenes on Saturday. She is accused of stealing a motorcycle and, at another property, trying to enter a garage and throwing a gas can at the owner when confronted.

On Sunday, police responded to a disturbance at Genesis East on Rusholme Street, where Padavich was taken into custody.

She used a lighter from her hospital gown, police say, to try to set fire to the police vehicle. The officer had to pull over several times, according to the report, due to her conduct.

She is charged in Scott County with felony arson, use of fire and theft and faces misdemeanor charges of attempted burglary and assault causing bodily injury.

Combined, her bond is $39,000.
