A woman has been charged in a Wednesday afternoon shooting in Bettendorf, according to an arrest affidavit.
According to Bettendorf Police Captain Rich Streepy, police responded to the intersection of Hawthorne Road and Hillside Drive around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday after a report of a shooting with an injury. Arrest records show 32-year-old Tanasha Robinson was in an altercation with a 17-year-old that escalated into her shooting the victim in the foot.
Police found a handgun in Robinson's bedroom that matched the casing found at the scene. The arrest affidavit shows she was also identified by witnesses and near the scene of the crime.
A no-contact order has been requested, according to the affidavit.
