ROCK ISLAND, Illinois – A 17-year-old, considered “armed and dangerous” by police, remained at large after was charged in connection with a fatal shooting at a home in Rock Island.

After someone called 911 to report shots fired, the victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound inside a home in the 500 block of 20th Avenue in Rock Island on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, according to a statement from police.  The injured person was taken to a nearby hospital, and later succumbed to the injuries.

The next day, police announced that they were looking for 17-year-old Kire G. Carr; car was wanted for first-degree murder, and his bond was set at $1 million.

Carr is described as being 6-feet tall, weighing 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

“Carr is not currently in custody and he is to be considered armed and dangerous,” police said Thursday morning, April 28.
