BETTENDORF, Iowa — One person is injured following a shooting in Bettendorf.
According to Bettendorf Police Captain Rich Streepy, police responded to the intersection of Hawthorne Road and Hillside Drive around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a shooting with an injury. A preliminary investigation revealed that there was an altercation between two people which escalated into one person being shot.
Police said a suspect in custody.
There is no danger to the public at this time.
