10-year-old struck by car in Davenport

Police say a vehicle was driving westbound on Locust Street when it struck a 10-year-old. The child was transported to a nearby hospital.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — A 10-year-old is seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Davenport. 

According to the Davenport Police Department, authorities responded to the intersection of Locust and Warren streets around 10 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, for a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash. 

Police say a vehicle was driving westbound on Locust Street when it struck a 10-year-old. The child was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

This case is being investigated by the Davenport Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.
