BETTENDORF, Iowa — City leaders in Bettendorf have been working on their current Comprehensive Plan since 2017, and they are ready to share the latest version with the public.

Their plan, titled "Premiering Bettendorf," is a collection of information based on current residents' opinions of the city. Once city officials felt they had enough information from the community, they formulated a comprehensive plan to revitalize the city and its amenities including homes, businesses, parks, and trails.

“Since May, there have been more than 1,600 total visits to the plan’s web page and we’ve received 284 comments. We are excited to show our citizens how that input is helping us plan the City’s future,” said Mark Hunt, Bettendorf's community development director.

The Bettendorf community is invited to the Waterfront Convention Center, just past Bettendorf City Hall, on Monday, Nov. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. to offer additional feedback to the Bettendorf Planning and Zoning Commission. After this meeting, any action to improve the city will be submitted to the city council for adoption in 2024.
