The tallest cow in the world has been the recent focus of major media attention, and she lives in Illinois!
Blosom is a 13-year-old Holstein cow, and she now holds the Guinness World Record as the tallest cow.
Blosom is just shy of 6-feet 4-inches tall.
Blosom lives at the Meads family farm in the small town of Orangeville.
“I never imagined this kind of reaction to all of this,” said Blosom’s owner, Patty Meads-Hanson.
Patty said Blosom has never had any hormone treatment and the cow’s diet is just oats, grass and hay.
Because Blosom could not reproduce or provide milk, the common protocol would be to send her to market, Patty said. Instead, Blosom became their family pet.
The humungous heifer wears a hat and poses for photos when she greets guests at Patty’s home-based side business, Memory Lane Crafting Retreat.
