EAST MOLINE, Illinois- Deere and Company employees at two Quad City locations have been put on indefinite layoff.
Tuesday, October 1, Global Public Relations Director Ken Golden said 50 Harvester Works employees and 113 Davenport Works employees will be put on indefinite layoff. The Harvester Works layoff goes into effect Monday October 28th. The Davenport Works layoff goes into effect Monday November 18th.
Golden blames the layoff on decreased customer demand. Because of that, Deere lowered its expectations for sales and net income for fiscal year 2019, as it progressed.
