LEGO storefront coming to Iowa for the first time in 2024

A physical LEGO store allows customers to make personalized mini figurines, stock up on rare or unusual parts from the pick-a-brick wall and much more.

DES MOINES, Iowa — LEGO is building out its brand and laying new foundations —  this time, in Iowa.

Jordan Creek Town Center confirmed with Local 5 on Thursday that the state's first LEGO storefront  is coming to the shopping center in 2024.

The new store will be inside the town center, located at 101 Jordan Creek Parkway in West Des Moines, and will bring the iconic building toys closer than ever for central Iowans.

Until now, visiting the closest LEGO store for Iowans would require leaving the state for stores in Missouri, Minnesota or Illinois. For a full list of stores in the United States, click here

With stores in all seven continents, high-grossing major motion pictures and plenty of iconic sets, the LEGO brand has been a staple for kids since its inception in the 1930s. It's even earned the title of “Toy of the Century” twice.

A physical LEGO store offers customers a chance to see sets in person, make personalized mini figurines, stock up on rare or unusual parts from the pick-a-brick wall and, of course, take advantage of the photo ops available.

So builders, get ready — the new year is almost here, and there's plenty of creating to do in 2024.
