Visit Quad Cities launches new self-guided tour of local John Deere history

The new tour, created by Visit Quad Cities, features more than ten places important to the history of the company.

MOLINE, Ill. — Visit Quad Cities is offering residents of the QCA a new way to explore some local history.

On Monday, Aug. 19, the organization launched the new John Deere Trail self-guided tour, including more than ten places important to the history of the company. Stops include places like John Deere Pavilion and the Deere-Wiman House.

“The Quad Cities is rich with nearly two centuries of John Deere history. This collaboration allows us to offer an even deeper John Deere experience in a self-guided, interactive way," Neil Dahlstrom with John Deere said in a press release.

You can sign up for the tour here. A virtual pass will be sent to your phone and is ready to use immediately without requiring an app download. When visiting one of the locations on the tour, you can then check in using the pass.

Participants can also enter for a chance to win a gift card for the John Deere Story in Moline.
