John Deere's 100 years of toys on display in new exhibit

The display contains John Deere toys dating back a century, including a Barbie doll and LEGO sets.

MOLINE, Ill. — The John Deere Pavilion has a new exhibit for visitors to enjoy, and for many, it might bring back some memories.

The pavilion opened its new "From the Toybox: A Century of John Deere Toys" exhibit on Friday, May 17. The display collects more than 100 toys from the company's archives. Some of the features include diecast models, a John Deere Barbie and even LEGO models of Deere equipment.

"I'm very emotional about coming here and seeing some things that remind me of my childhood," visitor Virgil Micheel said.

Now that it's been unveiled to the public, the exhibit will be a permanent addition to the pavilion, so visitors will be able to take a look during its regular hours. You can find the pavilion's hours below:

  • Sunday: Closed
  • Monday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday to Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
