MILAN, Ill. — A Quad Cities animal shelter is looking to get one of its longtime fur babies adopted after he has been waiting over 600 days for a "fur-ever" home.
Four-year-old Jack is a lively Pitbull mix currently available for adoption at the Quad City Animal Welfare Center. According to a Facebook post, he has been waiting 620 days for a home, as of Tuesday, Oct. 29.
Jack was previously adopted in March 2023, but the QCAWC said he wasn't the right fit for the family who took him in. He should be in a home with no other pets and adults only, according to the post. In addition, Jack's future owner will receive free training sessions with Kind K9s, and his adoption fee has been fully sponsored.
"This smart boy has won the hearts of our volunteers with his intelligence and charm, making him a true favorite," the post reads. "If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion and think Jack might be the one for you, please come meet him soon. He’s been waiting too long for his happily ever after."
