MOLINE, Ill. — Chocolates, hearts, stuffed animals — along with lots of red and pink — have lined stores for weeks in anticipation of Valentine's Day.

Davenport elementary hosts breakfast for students, parents
Hayes Elementary in Davenport hosted "Bring Your Sweetie to Breakfast" today where students and family members could come and enjoy a yummy Valentine's Day breakfast! The goal of the event was to highlight the importance of attendance and foster a relationship with parents.

Blue Grass Elementary principal receives Valentine's Day surprise
Blue Grass Elementary's principal, Sara Gott, received a Valentine's Day surprise today. The Quad City Chordbusters honored the principal with a "singing valentine." The group says they want to thank Gott for her commitment to education, community service and honoring veterans, as she often organizes school events to honor veterans.
WQAD delivers 300 valentines to senior care centers
Over the past week, WQAD made 300 valentines and "love bugs" to deliver to senior care and rehabilitation facilities in the Quad Cities, including Bettendorf Health Care Center, St. Anthony's Continuing Care and Hope Creek Nursing and Rehab. Yesterday, Feb. 13, team members brought those valentines out into the community. We loved being able to share the love and want to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!
