ROCK FALLS, Ill. — Rock Falls is encouraging its residents to decorate their homes and yards this Christmas.
Anyone with a Rock Falls address has been called upon to take part in the Tour of Lights 2024 house-decorating contest.
Participants are encouraged to transform their homes into a display reminiscent of a winter-wonderland landscape or Hallmark-inspired displays. Prizes will be awarded to winners in three categories: Most Extravagant, Best Theme, and Best Use of Lights.
Entry is free. Decorations are required to be visible from the roadways.
Registrations must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Dec. 11, and entrants must submit a night photo. Forms for registration can be picked up at Rock Falls Tourism at 603 W. 10th Street, or obtained by emailing director@visitrockfalls.com.
For voting purposes, every display must be turned on between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m. on the from Dec. 13-19. Those wishing to vote can do so on the Visit Rock Falls Facebook page, as well as at Rock Falls City Hall.
Winners will be announced on Friday, Dec. 20th.
