MOLINE, Ill. — WQAD is excited to announce that Kory Kuffler is our new Sports Director! He enters the position following Matt Randazzo's departure last week.

Kory joined the WQAD team in 2010 but is a native Quad Citizen. The Moline Marooner graduated from Southern Illinois Edwardsville before starting his career at TV-11 in Black Jack, Missouri. He made his way back to the Quad Cities in 2000 and worked at KWQC until 2010.

He joined WQAD as a sports anchor and reporter to tell the stories of our student-athletes and coaches. His favorite part of his job is getting to cover our local teams throughout the school year.

"I’d like to thank all the people that have mentored and guided me, throughout my career. It is because of you that I am able to make this move," Kory said. "Local high school sports are very important to me and I look forward to continuing the high standard of coverage in the area, as well as telling the stories and triumphs of local high school student-athletes and coaches."

The 4th-Degree Black Belt has run nine half-marathons. When he's not breaking planks or telling local sports stories, Kory is likely playing golf or spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their three kids, Justin, Karsyn and Addisen.

The best way to reach him is by emailing him at kory.kuffler@wqad.com.
