MILAN, Ill. — The Quad City Animal Welfare Center is calling on the community's help, seeking volunteers to assist in critical roles at its Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic in Milan, Illinois.
Each of the roles needed is considered vital for the clinic's success and impacts the quality of care they can provide to animals in need. Anyone with a passion for animal welfare and a desire to contribute is welcome. No prior experience is necessary to participate.
Roles to be filled include:
- Curbside Vaccine/Wellness Clinic Check-in/Check-out: Volunteers will assist in the check-out process for curbside vaccine and wellness clinics on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Mobile Vaccine/Wellness Clinic: Volunteers will support the mobile clinic operations helping with check-in procedures and providing assistance to pet owners on occasional Fridays.
- Surgical Recovery: Volunteers will play a crucial role in providing post-surgical care and monitoring animal recovery from spay/neuter procedures on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Pack Room: Volunteers will assist in organizing and preparing supplies in the pack room on Mondays and Thursdays.
- Laundry/General Housekeeping: Volunteers will help maintain a clean and hygienic environment by handling laundry and assisting with general housekeeping tasks daily, Monday through Friday.
