Meet Astrid, Valka and Ravdna | Indianapolis Zoo welcomes 3 new cheetahs

The three sisters are now in the Cheetah Yard.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Zoo is welcoming a new face to the zoo — or should I say three new faces.

Meet Astrid, Valka and Ravdna! The three sisters are now in the Cheetah Yard over in Plains, but they came from Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Texas.

"The weather was purr-fect for them to go out & explore their new habitat," the zoo said in a post on social media

Zoo officials said all three were "hesitant at first," but Astrid and Valka eventually ventured out to explore their new surroundings. However, Ravdna is still a little shy around people so she decided to hide in the shade.

"Join us in welcoming these three beautiful new arrivals to the Indianapolis Zoo!" the zoo said.
