Flashback Friday: The Quad City connection to President Obama's inauguration

This time next year, we could be witnessing the 2025 presidential inauguration. So for this week's throwback, we take a look at the local connection to 2009.

WASHINGTON D.C., DC — This time next year, we could be witnessing the 2025 presidential inauguration. So for this week's Flashback Friday, we're going back to the 2009 event, and the Quad City girl that got a front row seat.

On January 20, 2009, Quad City native, Claire Kuttler, had the distinct honor of singing for President Barack Obama at his private inaugural prayer service at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C.

Former News 8 reporter John David caught up with Kuttler's mother and local college students, who watched it all happen from right here in Rock Island.
