MOLINE, Ill. — For this week's Flashback Friday, we're going back 24 years, to the turn of the century.
We found a news story from Jan. 1, 2000, that's all about the first babies born in the Quad Cities for the new year and the new millennium.
It turns out, neither one was supposed to be born when they were. In fact, both babies were expected before Christmas 1999. But by holding out, they ended up on the news both in 2000 and now in 2024.
