Flashback Friday: When crows took over the Knox County Courthouse

We dug into the archives and found this story from the year 2000! Back then, hundreds of crows made their presence felt in Galesburg's skies and sidewalks.

GALESBURG, Ill. — This edition of Flashback Friday brings us back to the year 2000 when the city of Galesburg went to the crows!

Back then, hundreds of crows descended on the Knox County Courthouse. For months they made themselves at home, coating sidewalks, tables, signs and benches in piles and piles of crow poop.

While it's certainly not something the city wants to relive, it does make for a funny memory, 23 years later.

You can watch the full trip down memory lane in the above video. You can also catch Flashback Friday every Friday only on The Current on News 8.
