(CNN) — Actor/director Todd Bridges and his wife Dori have decided it’s best if they part ways.
As the 47-year-old former “Diff’rent Strokes” star said in a statement to People magazine, “The Bridges have decided that disunion is in the best interest of their collective futures.”
The couple, who have been married for 14 years, also have a 13-year-old son, Spencir.
Bridges wrote of the break-up on Twitter Friday, acknowledging that “life is full of changes.”
“She’s a great mother im glad to have had the years to know her and have a great kid with her,” Bridges posted. “[A]s we know, people grow apart and we did.”
