DUBUQUE, Iowa — Editor's Note: The video above discusses another music event that is not associated with the Q Casino.
Q Casino in Dubuque has announced Jason Isbell and Upchurch as part of their annual concert series at the Back Waters Stage.
Following last year's successful lineup, the casino will host after-parties with updated amenities, food and drinking options for those attending.
“We look forward to offering another full slate of concerts this summer on our Back Waters Stage and hosting people from all over the tri-state area,” Brian Rakestraw, Chief Operating and Financial Officer at Q Casino, said. “Having acts like Upchurch and Jason Isbell perform on back-to-back Fridays in August is just a glimpse of what we expect to be yet another great summer of live music across many genres here at Q Casino.”
Upchurch will perform along with special guests T2, Brodnax and JJ Lawhorn on Friday, Aug. 2 at 8 p.m. with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now with general admissions being $64.99, and Tailgate prices being $84.99.
Jason Isbell will perform along with special guest Shemekia Copeland on Friday, Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. Starting this Friday tickets will go on sale with general admission tickets costing $59.99 and Tailgate tickets will be $79.99.
“There is something about boundaries on this record,” Isbell says. “As you mature, you still attempt to keep the ability to love somebody fully and completely while you’re growing into an adult and learning how to love yourself.”
Tickets for both concerts can be purchased on their website or at Guest Services at Q Casino and are non-refundable. Prices and lineups are subject to change. All ages are welcome for both events.
