MOLINE, Ill. — The weekend is officially here, and WQAD and WLLR have your top events to check out for Jan. 26 through Jan. 28.
Good Morning Quad Cities' Nina Burns and Devin Brooks were joined by WLLR's Dani Howe Thursday morning to go over the must-see events.
Here's your rundown:
Date & Time: Saturday, Jan. 27 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Location: Rivercenter, 206 E. Second St., Davenport Iowa
Calling all soon-to-be newlyweds! The Jaycees of the Quad Cities are once again hosting their annual Wedding Expo, featuring over 100 businesses and organizations from across the area. Plan the perfect wedding by visiting the numerous photographers, cake makers, gown stores, caterers, event venues and more that will be at the expo.
Date: Saturday, Jan. 27
Location: Starts at 2200 W. River Dr. in Davenport, Iowa (On Credit Island)
Ride along the Mississippi River on Credit Island during the 10th annual Frozen Fat Fondo Fest off-roading bike ride. According to the event's Facebook page, the ride will be held "rain, shine, snow or slime." The ride lasts approximately three hours, with registration still open until Friday, Jan. 26 at noon. Day-of registration will also be available starting at 8:45 a.m. for $35.
Here's a breakdown of the festivities:
- 8 a.m.: Course pre-riding opens
- 8:45 a.m.-10:15 a.m.: Packet pickup, day-of registration opens
- 10:45 a.m.: Fondo riders meeting (required)
- 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Bike ride
- ~2:30 p.m.: Fondo Awards (begins when all riders are back)
- 3 p.m.: Raffle

Location: Vibrant Arena at the Mark, 1201 River Dr., Moline, Illinois
Local hockey team Quad City Storm will have its last Pucks and Paws Night of the season this Saturday where attendees can bring their furry friends. It's a Scooby Doo-themed night, with players set to wear customized jerseys. Those jerseys will be auctioned off to raise money for Tender Loving Canines and Guide Dogs of America. Location: Putnam Museum's Giant Screen, 1717 W. Twelfth St., Davenport, Iowa
Catch a new documentary this weekend at the Putnam Museum. Emmy award-winning documentary filmmakers Kelly and Tammy Rundle of Fourth Wall Films will premiere "Moved By Waters," a film that focuses on the people and organizations in the Quad Cities working to improve the Mississippi River's water quality. The film will play in Putnam's Giant Screen Theater. Tickets are $10 for adults and $9 for kids and seniors.
